2019/11/05 Minor Platform Updates

05 November 2019 | WebMeeting's Privacy Policy has been updated to include more details about the datacenters used by 3CX WebMeeting. Also we've pushed a couple of fixes. 1# When users would disable their video during a remote control session, this would cause the remote controlled screen to appear frozen. 2# In certain conditions, audio devices were initialized in a way that browsers did not like thus causing audio to disappear until the page was refreshed.

2019/10/31 - 2019/11/02 | We're rolling out updates to all MCUs to fix a couple of bugs reported related to periodical audio loss related to how Chrome & Firefox handle device initialization in certain cases and periodical issues with loss of image when using PDF or Screen Sharing. During the update timeframe users will be redirected away from their preferred MCU server and onto the next closest and available. Users already connected to the to-be maintained MCUs will experience a disconnection and short 10 second unavailability of that specific MCU node but will be able to login back into their meeting immediately as they will be served by the next closest and available MCU.

15-18 October, 2019 | All MCU servers are being updated to the latest stable MCU version. Some MCU servers are set to temporarily redirect new meeting sessions to the next nearest server as to facilitate the updates.The latest MCU package bug fixes related to screen sharing, PDF sharing and how they appear in recordings.

08 October, 2019 | This morning between 21:47 - 21:54 CEST WebMeeting experienced a short and unexpected downtime after an issue with a platform update. The issue was resolved and the platform was brought back online by the NOC team.

2019/10/07 Platform Update: Privacy Policy

07 October, 2019 | We've updated WebMeeting and have added a privacy policy. Anyone joining a WebMeeting will see a 1 time policy agreement dialog that will need to be accepted before proceeding. When using an anonymizing browser or incognito mode, the policy will appear every time you want to login to a meeting. The privacy policy can also be found under the Settings > Policy Tab.

06 October, 2019 | All MCU servers will be updated to the latest stable version. A rolling restart of all MCU servers will take place. The latest MCU package contains improvements to meeting video quality as well a major fix to ongoing incorrect bandwidth warnings and notifications.

25 September, 2019 | Updates to the following MCU's have been pushed in order to rectify the issues related to certain webinars caused by certain functoinality in the Firefox browser as well as improvements for support of the 'Remote Control' functionality in 'Quick Meetings': as002-mum.3cx.net, as004-syd.3cx.net as005-syd.3cx.net and as008-sgp.3cx.net have been updated as a fist step.

25-28 September, 2019 | We'll be pushing updates to allow the functionality of 'Remote Control' to work in 'Quick Meetings'. This update will be pushed to production Additionally we've discovered a minor issue that affects some Webinars when participants use Firefox. We are working on identifying the issue, fixing it and testing the fix before we also push this fix to production. This fix may likely become available in the next few days or during this weekend's maintenance update.

2019/09/23 Remote Control

23 September, 2019 | Remote control is available again. Temporary restrictions to avoid misuse in Quick Meetings have been added. This means that your quick meeting / quick launch meeting (the quick join room in your webclient) will temporarily not support the remote control function. We'll be working towards adding this functionality, but this will unfortunately take some time. We apologize for the inconvenience.
